SERVICE KIT-CARCO VALVE REPLACEMENT
CAT # 118-6978 & 361-6906
NOTE : LIT2248
Replacement Control Valve for Carco 50A, 50B, 70, and 70A winches with cable controls. The new valve replaces Valve P/N 27689. It uses cartridge technology to replace loose parts in the valve block.
Replacement Kit P/N 67290 should be ordered when changing valves.
In addition to the cartridges, the following changes were made:
1. Valve accumulator port changed from -8 ORB to -10 ORB
2. New accumulator hose
3. Pump port moved to top side of valve
4. Lube tube no longer has orifice
5. 0.188 diameter timing orifice required in clutch shaft
6. The flow control valve, in the line to the Port P, is no longer needed
7. Port added for Lube line (Port L)
8. Filter head fitting on the valve side changed to -8 JIC from -10 JIC
Note: Units built before October, 1997 will require new rotary seal shafts (P/N 101198) which are tapped for the
clutch orifice plug, and Seal Kits (P/N 69374) - qty. 2 of each per winch.
